"May All Be Happy"

I’m inspired everyday by the Buddhist aspiration “May All Be Happy” and was determined to create a sustainable, ethical business based on this philosophy and way of life. It is a loving, connecting, wholesome approach to life and because the meditation is for All to be happy, I'm included. So are you.

We want you to be happy with our lovely, natural Irish skincare, to look forward to receiving your Belle&Basil parcel when it arrives at your door, and to feel part of a community who values wellbeing, naturalness and giving back. We have a 60 day refund policy so if you aren't 100% happy we will do everything we can to make sure you are happy soon.

We want everyone who works with Belle&Basil to be happy so we treat them with respect and fairness. There is also a happy atmosphere to work in as Belle&Basil products are made in the peace and quiet of the garden workshop.

We want our environment to be happy by only using natural ingredients and putting all our products in glass and bamboo jars. We would love you to help us create a more sustainable business by returning your empty jars. We will wash and refill them (we offer free postage for these returns in the UK, see our Return Your Empties page for more details). We make all Belle&Basil skincare products using green energy. We love animals (especially Belle and Basil!) and would never test our products on animals, only on willing humans.

We also contribute 10% of our profits to The Ocean Clean Up, a charity working to remove plastic from the sea.

We have also teamed up with Tree-Nation to plant a tree every time someone buys one of our products. Part of our commitment to becoming carbon positive.

If you want to find out more about the Loving Kindness meditation which is based on the aspiration’May All Be Happy’, please read the Note from the Garden Workshop on True Beauty.
